OpenCampux is provided as a tool for academic transparency and campus community engagement. You agree to use the platform only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others.

Prohibited behavior includes but is not limited to:

• Submitting false or malicious reviews.
• Harassing or defaming lecturers, staff, or fellow students.
• Manipulating review scores or voting systems (helpful/unhelpful).
• Attempting to bypass our anonymity systems or reverse-engineer student hashes.
• Attempting to bypass, manipulate, automate, reverse engineer, or abuse account recovery, identity verification, authentication, or other platform security mechanisms.
• Spamming or advertising unauthorized commercial services.

Our marketplace is a peer-to-peer platform for student trade. OpenCampux does not directly handle goods or physical transactions.

• Verification: Only verified students may list items.
• Safety: We recommend all exchanges take place in public, well-lit campus areas.
• Prohibited Items: You may not list illegal goods, weapons, or items that violate university policy.
• Disclaimer: Platform administrators are not responsible for the quality of items or the outcome of private trades.

The "Hostel Hunter" section provides information on verified student accommodations.

• Accuracy: While we strive for accuracy, hostel availability and pricing can change rapidly. Always confirm details directly with managers.
• Verification: "Verified" status indicates that our student team has confirmed the existence and basic standards of the property.

When purchasing event tickets through the platform:

• Digital Tickets: Tickets are delivered digitally and checked via secure scanning at the venue.
• Refunds: Refund policies are set by individual event organizers. OpenCampux only facilitates the booking.
• Entry: Organizers reserve the right to refuse entry based on venue-specific rules.

Our platform hosts shared academic materials including lecture slides, syllabi, and study guides.

• Intellectual Property: All materials are the property of their respective creators or the university. They are provided for personal academic use only and may not be redistributed for profit.
• File Safety: While we scan all uploads for safety, users download files at their own risk. OpenCampux is not responsible for any digital damage resulting from downloaded content.

OpenCampux provides assessment tools (quizzes, exams) to lecturers for academic evaluation. Students must complete assessments honestly and independently unless collaboration is explicitly permitted.

During assessments, the platform may employ integrity measures including:

• Full-screen enforcement
• Tab and window focus monitoring
• Device identification
• Location verification (when enabled by the lecturer)
• Session timing and connection monitoring

Any attempt to circumvent these measures constitutes academic misconduct. Consequences may include assessment invalidation, a score of zero, account suspension, or referral to university authorities at the lecturer's discretion. Assessment data (responses, timestamps, integrity logs) may be shared with the administering lecturer and university as needed.

By participating in a proctored assessment, you consent to the collection of:

• Browser visibility state and focus events
• Device fingerprint information
• GPS location data (when location verification is enabled)
• WebSocket connection status and heartbeat data

This data is collected solely for the purpose of maintaining assessment integrity. Students will be informed before an assessment if proctoring features are active. Data collected during proctoring is subject to the Privacy Policy.

OpenCampux may display advertisements provided by third-party services, including Google AdSense. These services may use cookies and tracking technologies as described in the Privacy Policy.

OpenCampux is not responsible for the content of third-party advertisements. Users should review the privacy policies of third-party advertisers.

All platform branding, design, code, and original content is the property of OpenCampux.

User-generated content (reviews, listings, comments) remains the intellectual property of the user, but by posting, users grant OpenCampux a non-exclusive license to display and distribute it on the platform. Course materials are the property of their respective creators or institutions.

OpenCampux is provided "as is" without warranty. We are not liable for: assessment outcomes, marketplace transaction disputes, housing booking issues, event cancellations, or data loss.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by the user to OpenCampux in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not responsible for actions taken by universities, lecturers, or other users based on platform data.
